Petite Princess and Princess Patti from Ideal, Part 1

The Petite Princess Fantasy Furniture commercial display
was complete with flags flying on top of spires.
Ideal debuted this line of dollhouse furniture in 1964.

It showcased five rooms for a dollhouse.

A  music room....

A bedroom....

a reading nook....

a dining room....

and a living room.

Individual pieces could be purchased.

A chaise and a bed....

and a fancy vanity and stool.

The perfect size family was also available.

In 1965 the furniture line was rebranded as Princess Patti.
The same little family was available, with the boy in a solid red shirt.

Wouldn't you love to have these boxed sets?

I really like the green satin curved sofa....

and the sink vanity with gold mirror!

the lady of the house had a dishwasher and a grand soaking tub.

A 1970s Tudor

What a lovely Tudor....three stories and a lady of the house who likes to garden!

The living room with a copper fireplace hood...
notice all the attention to detail in this lovely room.

Looks like our family is getting ready to celebrate Christmas!

Does this family normally have champagne with dinner?

A very efficient kitchen for the lady of the house....
and more evidence of her love for growing things!

I hope the husband of the house didn't blow a fuse....

when he saw the bill for the redesign of  their master bedroom!

The main bathroom.....looks fairly neat. They must have a maid.

A typical teenagers room....drums, skis, chess board
and a monopoly game in progress.

And the teenager doing what he does best!

On the third floor we find the "rec" room. I see dad has a bar...

and a cozy nook by the fire.

And just what every rec room needs, a pool table!

Hope you enjoyed your tour!

A bit of history about this lovely house....
This house was designed and built by miniaturist  Marney Stone.
Not only did he design and build this house,
he also made all the furniture in the house. It was his first dollhouse.

Here are some pictures from an article that appeared
in the dollhouse magazine Nutshell News
after it was purchased by my collector friend.
